Flowers and Friends

 

It was a sunny and blustery day on the bluffs near The Sea Ranch Lodge.  The flowers were in full bloom and The Green Bag Lady was our special guest.  For lunch we were joined by this very young snake.  "Brownie Bob" spoiled us again and many hikers went home with Green Bag Lady bags!

Skaggs Springs Road

 

 Another dry day today for hiking along Skaggs Springs Road. We were treated to a wonderful display of wildflowers in bloom and views and sounds from the Gualala River.  (I missed this week's hike... taking my mother-in-law to SFO so this report and photos comes to us from Mary Sue.  Thanks Mary Sue!)

Salt Point Waterfall Loop

 It was a wee bit early for the full flower show on the Salt Point bluffs but we did see the first signs of flowers and the waterfall was beautiful.  Sun was shining but due to the breeze we did the hike in reverse of our regular way... ending on the east side protected by trees from the afternoon winds.
