Stornetta

While 16 people were enjoying a GORGEOUS day at Stornetta, I was playing on Cook's beach with the first of the reunion arrivals...
by Friday at midnight there were 12 of us.

Bowling Ball Beach + Brunch

Our early morning low-tide hike was very well attended.  In addition to many hikers there were an abundance of Abalone divers out in full force at Moat Creek.  Bob counted over 40 cars parked along highway 1!  The sun was shining the weather was lovely.  After the hike we drove to Hearn Gulch for a celebratory brunch.  There was much to celebrate: 10 years of Thursday Ramblers hikes, 41 years of Bob and Mary Sue knowing each other, Dorothy turning 68 and Diana turning 70!  Cheers to everyone and everything!

Kruse Rhodies in bloom

We had 13 on the hike today. We were sheltered from the wind, enjoyed the blooming rhododendrons and coral root orchids and the beautiful forested gulches.
Sadly, I missed the hike again... waiting for fabric to arrive.

NOTE:   As of May 18th Thursday Ramblers will be 10 Years OLD!  Many thanks to Dard for starting the group and Mary Sue for continuing it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I for one am exceedingly grateful.

Horse Shoe Cove

WHAT A DAY!  Sunny, warm, next to no wind... LOTS of flowers and after lunch we were treated to a visit by 2 whales (spotted by Ginger) very close to shore.  I'd give it a 10!
